Look at me, I am such a rebel employee, writing in my diary at work. Don't worry, all the grown-ups are at a meeting so I'm starting a revolution today when I won't get caught. I have to get it all out of my system by the time school starts because it will be too busy to be slacking off. At least for the first few weeks. But I am not going to be working early shifts anymore so we'll see what it's like in the afternoons.
So they finally started making us check out towels. Large ones at least. I have a feeling it is not going to go very well. The thing that ticks me off the most about the Rec Center is the grown ups who come to use it, like faculty and alumni. They basically think they are above the rules. I hate that. They are the ones who are going to complain about the new towel policy, not students. Students are like, "Oh, whatever." They are sympathetic to my plight as a lowly desk attendant, they know I am on their side and I don't make the rules. Wow, I do sound like I am going to start a revolution.
So there is a day camp counselor who is totally cute and I am going to be really sad when camp ends because then I won't get to see him everyday. He seems really nice too. And he likes kids. Can you blame me for being swoony? No, you cannot.
I am reading The Finer Points of Sausage Dogs and it is hilarious. I think I might like it a little better than Portuguese Irregular Verbs. I am also in the middle of reading like four other books, but I think I am going to finish Sausage Dogs today, or within the hour.
I went to the Wild Buffalo last night with Kendra to hear Brianna Lobett sing at Open Mic, which was fun. That is a pretty nice bar, not that I have a lot to compare it too. But being a Wednesday night, it was not that crowded. The crowd, besides people there to see Bri, was older, which kind of surprised me.
Only six more hours of work and then I am off for four whole days! Sweet!
